The United States has announced stricter visa rules for international students.
Under the new policy, students will have only 30 days to leave the country or change their visa status after completing their studies.

The Trump administration says the new rules will take effect in September.

International students will no longer be allowed to stay in the US for more than four years without special federal approval.

The policy also limits changes to academic programs and transfers between colleges and universities.

Previously, students on F-1 and J-1 visas could remain in the US under the “duration of status” rule, with 60 days after graduation to leave or change their visa.
